About Lucy

Lucy Keshishian graduated from Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology with a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. During her time at Pepperdine, she was one of 52 individuals in the Los Angeles County to be awarded the Los Angeles County MFT Stipend, which awards applicants for their commitment to working for public mental health.

Lucy originated her professional career by providing mental health support to the underserviced population in the heart of Downtown, Los Angeles at Para Los Ninos. It was here that she began working with victims of trauma diagnosed with anxiety, depression, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. She then went on to progress her career at a Los Angeles County-contracted community mental health agency, VIP Community Mental Health Center. Here she worked with children, teenagers, adults and families who experienced a wide range of mental health difficulties.

Lucy has worked directly with a broad population including children, parents, grandparents, and families who come from different multicultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Her experience also includes working as a school-based therapist, in which she has collaborated with a team of teachers, licensed clinical social workers, and psychiatrists.

In addition to her educational background, Lucy is trained in various Evidence-Based Practices, such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Managing and Adapting Practices, and Seeking Safety and Cores.
